AC Selection

What brand of AC unit are you shopping for?

Please select a brand to see its description.

What type of AC system do you currently have?

In a split system, components are located both inside and outside the home. Indoor units typically contain the evaporator coil and air handler, while outdoor units house the compressor and condenser coil.

A package system contains all components in a single outdoor unit. This type of system is commonly used in homes with limited indoor space or where ductwork is difficult to install.

How many tons do you need?

Tonnage represents the weight or carrying capacity of an air conditioning unit. It indicates the cooling capacity of the AC unit. Generally, higher tonnage is required for larger spaces or higher cooling demands.

As a general rule, divide the square footage of the space by 400 (2,000 sq. ft. / 400 = 5 tons)

Does your AC unit use a gas furnace?

Gas furnaces typically feature visible gas lines or connections, often near the furnace unit. They also have a pilot light or ignition system for startup. If your heating system requires gas refills or has these features, it's likely a gas furnace. Electric furnaces, on the other hand, solely rely on electricity for operation.

What SEER rating would you like?

The Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) measures the efficiency of an air conditioning unit. Higher SEER ratings indicate greater energy efficiency.
